The welfare and safety of all our members is our highest priority.
Our full safeguarding policy is available via the Grapple Trust:
www.grappletrust.com/safeguarding
All of our coaches undergo Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks, including barred list disclosure. This ensures that everyone coaching at Pure Grappling has been thoroughly vetted and cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults.
In addition to DBS checks, all of our coaches have completed the safeguarding training recommended by the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation). This training ensures our coaches are equipped to recognise, respond to, and report any safeguarding concerns appropriately.
Pure Grappling operates a zero tolerance policy on any breach of our safeguarding guidelines. We are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. All members are expected to follow our Code of Conduct.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding safeguarding, there are three ways to report:
1. Safeguarding Lead
Our Safeguarding Lead is Alice Soulsby. You can contact her directly at:
alicesoulsby@hotmail.co.uk
2. Company Email
You can email the company directly at
puregrappling@gmail.com.
This is the Pure Grappling company email address and only Matthew has access to it.
3. Grapple Trust
You can submit a report through
Grapple Trust.
This will be handled by a Safeguarding Officer at another club within the Grapple Trust network,
independent of Pure Grappling. This option is available if you would prefer to report a concern
to someone outside of our club.
